Plow: an implement used to cut, lift, and turn over soil especially in preparing a seedbed.
Often times when we think of plowing what first comes to mind immediately is the soft blanket of white snow as it falls seamlessly from the clouds. It finds a resting spot on its bed effortlessly even if it may be a hard surface at first. But, nevertheless there is now what could be described as a cloud on earth filled with its intricate designed crystal, shapes, and most importantly beauty. What I find to be very profound and interesting is that even once the snow plower does its thing and separates the blanket of snow into two, there is still an imprint left. The water residue from where it first reached the surface has already begun its travel into the ground serving as fuel for the soil in order for something beautiful to grow on top.
Many moments in our lives I have found can be described just as this short story above. A place where something was laid down initially to serve one purpose and soon grows to begin again for something new to find its home. In life we can often experience this on a consecutive basis. Foundations are planted one after the other until a deep clean out of any old weeds, habits, patterns or ideologies begins to find its grounds. In this year of 2024 it is important we first recognize and acknowledge what has been sowed into the ground. Take a moment of reflection to asses every ground in which you sowed. Whether that be in physical distribution or that of your heart and thoughts. All of these things matter and can be factored in. After you’ve done this allow yourself to be open enough to begin to allow a new flow of added mixture and flavor on the set base in your foundation. This is what I have found in this first month of the new year to be for me. A time of great plowing that includes, cutting, purging, uprooting, and replacing with a new flow and way of being in a world that is always changing. However, what makes the difference now is that the outside circumstances may be changing around me but I am continuing to remain firm, whole and complete.
So I will leave you with this mandate I hope hits you as it has for me. Do not take your hands off the plow. No matter what you experience or encounter. Do not remove them. Keep a strong grip in your pace, in your belief and most importantly in your grasp to hold on. Whatever you may do in 2024 do not let go of what you know God has said and spoken over your life. Believe it firmly with all that you have and continue to keep preparing that new seedbed for multitudes of expansion to be your portion both near and far.
Until Next Time,
Forever in Faith. Forever in Motion.
