Pursue.
Perhaps this word has been floating around social media or is the latest common topic amongst your friend groups. However way in which it has been presented to you I want you to know in this year of 2024 is packed so well it is time now more than it ever was to do just thta. Pursue.
For years I walked around my purpose, visited my calling and booked temporary stays in areas God was trying to get me to find residency in. There was a lot of time I spent wondering instead of just doing and standing as everything God has already spoken me to be before he placed me in my mothers womb. Looking back now I realize there was a huge impact on my confidence. Instead the mocking image of insecurity was trying to find a resting place.
The moment God opened my eyes to see what was really taking precedence and was trying to camouflage itself as the real thing I was filled with such repentance and a persistent cry for freedom. It is so easy to think pursuing has nothing to do with the insides of you and has everything to do with the task at hand. But I will say from first hand experience the inside of you matters so much more than the outside. It is easier to dress up and put on certain things when you are only focusing on the first image people see with their eyes. But have you ever thought to think about what people may see with their hearts about you? To see with your heart means you have moved passed just the simple surface area check or scan. There is now a deep X Ray evaluation that is taking place. A full picture of what is flowing on the inside of you whether good or bad. If we do not take the necessary time needed to check these things and allow it to reveal what may still be in us, then the run with our pursuit will experience stumbling blocks along the way. However, I am fully persuaded as long as we are able to keep our priorities in order, and have an intentional understanding behind everything that we do, we will stay on the path that has been set before us. I desire to pursue and recover it all. When David asked the lord if he should go the lord replied and gave him exactly what he needed not just to move but also to conquer the land.
The things God has placed inside of us to do requires the right soil and hands to further prepare the foundation that has already been laid. As co laborers with Christ at all times we should be in an active pursuit because we understand who it is for and that being someone other than ourselves. All of this is for somebody to see it is possible to pursue in such a healthy way where you don’t lose the unique essence of what makes you. So I will leave and encourage you with this, no longer allow yourself to sit on what you know God has given you. Even if it may feel scary and super unsure know that every time you strive to look more like him his character will begin to stand tall in you and will be what remains.
