We all know that what we say has a huge amount of power. It can lead to life or destruction. Either outcome has an impact that will be significant no matter how it is said, interpreted or distributed. Lately I have been thinking about the relationship between speech and size. Just as often as we can describe our speech with words like big or small it can also have a direct reflection on our actions and behaviors. Growing up as a dancer these words were used all the time to try to explain intention and bring another layer of depth and clarity.
The intention behind the speech is what mattered most for the hearer to be able to listen and receive what is being said. Speech void of intention is simply words. When we talk about speech it has everything to do with the expression of or the ability to express thoughts and feelings. When God created the earth we live in now he did not just speak words, it was filled with speech. It was an expression of his thoughts. There is a really great scripture in Proverbs 3:19-20 that states, “The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, And the clouds drop down the dew.”
The earth was made on the grounds of wisdom, understanding and knowledge. All three of these put together are just a mere part of the Father’s unique speech we have the ability to inhabit each and everyday. The coolest thing about when God speaks to us no matter the sound of it there is always a size included in what he says and being that we serve such a great and big God no matter the substance its always full. Everything God chooses to share and speak is never lacking in depth. The size is as big as we allow ourselves to believe it for. His nature allows us to always embody this.
When we move to the grounds of Faith this is where both become even more realized. Our faith has the ability to change and shape whatever has been presented in front of us and even what we cannot see just yet. The impact is always profound.
Until Next Time
Forever in Faith. Forever in Motion.
