Swipe Up: Firm Foundation

There is a power inside of you that rests and dwells within the container of your Faith. The bible says that even if it is a faith as small as a mustard seed, you can speak to the mountain and command it to move, and it will. I don’t know about y’all, but last time I checked, mountains are huge. There is no way one single man could move a mountain on their own. But the fact that God tells us the smallest seed of faith can move something so huge in size is enough to make me curious as to whether there really is an obstacle too hard that I can’t overcome.

God has so graciously equipped you with this tool for life! It can be used and activated at any moment, and not only can it move a mountain, but then he goes on to say in the book of Matthew 17:20 that nothing shall be impossible to you! Just reading that out loud gives me chills and encourages my heart to know that with faith, the barrier of impossibilities gets broken.

Take a moment today to sit and reflect on how many times within your life you saw an obstacle and chose to stop there. Imagine if instead of stopping, you activated your faith to push through to the other side. Faith is a gift God has given us, and it is a dangerous tool in our hands when we use it with the right heart and motive in the God who makes all things possible.

Maybe you’ve had faith in the outcome, and when it did not turn the way you had anticipated, you were left with utter disappointment. Today, I want to challenge you to reassess who you are putting your faith in. This will then reveal where your firm foundation is located.

There was a time in my life when I experienced hits, after hits, in areas I had a lot of Faith in. Even to the point where I concluded that faith can really hurt sometimes, and although this is true, the pain that you may experience should be a buffer for stronger roots. These roots for me and my life have remained unshakeable in God’s hands, the one who made you and me. The pain of Faith has everything to do with thinking less of yourself and more of the possibilities of what God can and will do. When this pain is misplaced, it can feel hopeless because the location of the firm foundation has been positioned in the outcome and not in the who. In the book of Hebrews 13:8, it states that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That to me sounds pretty darn solid, and I have not seen him change since.

Your body can react to this new way of thinking and go into fight mode. (I have been there) But every time you choose to resist the limits of how far you may think it can go and begin to tap into God’s limitless capability, something happens. There is a small bubble that begins to grow inside of you, and you can’t shake it because it’s a reality he wants you to partake in each day.

A firm foundation of Faith in God is what brings you there and keeps you always swiping up towards your very present help in time of need or loss. I pray today you begin to go on a journey and ask God if he’s real and to reveal Himself to you if you’re not sure what I’m saying is legit. Or maybe from the scriptures mentioned, you’ll go on your own personal journey of discovery. Whichever route you choose, just try Jesus, and I promise, as a living witness myself, your life will never be the same. Growing up in church was cute, it did its thing, but when I rededicated my life to Christ in 2020, I decided to choose Jesus, and I have never turned back.

God is waiting on your swipe today. Do something about it!
