We hear these words all the time, “Timing is everything.” I think I would probably be a billionaire due to the amount of times I have heard this said to me. For a long time I would have a heavy sigh following every time because in the back of my head there was this little voice saying it cant be true. Even though deep down inside there must be some truth to this. There must be some way everything will just fall into place right before my eyes and keep me on the right pace.
When I look back over these past 4 years I can’t help but wonder what was on schedule. The things that simply required me to take the step but due to fear and doubt I didn’t. But also the things that found it’s way back around to me in my direction because it was simply on schedule.
Running in a timing I was not aware of that was beyond me and was indirectly connected to purpose and destiny. The things that were right on time for my character development, my faith in God, my failures, disappointments and wins. All of these components had traits that were making up a bigger story. One that I would be sharing here with you all today because I kept enduring. Even when there was an overstay in places I knew my time was up for before it even began. Yet, I still went through and felt all of the bumps and bruises along the way. I remember when fighting to be consistent was just that for me. It was always a fight that left me weary and without much motivation to find that rhythm again. Until I stopped fighting and began to understand how the cyclical pattern of time defines consistency in every season and in every process. I learned that it comes with my ability to still continue to put my best self forward. To still show love, to still function without losing kindness even in the midst of. To always find my route back to me where there is no traffic on the travel.
Honestly sitting here after just recording my video for this weeks Cozy Corner Chats, when I go through my previous years it all feels like a film strip is being shown with each defining moment. It reaches all the way back from high school, to college and to present day. Where and how I got to the place I am in now where peace always resides and I can be settled no matter how I may need to adapt is only because of my best friend up there. Without his teachings, I truly am not sure I would be able to sit here today and write all of this out to you in my right mind. Many times we forget that we can have the mind to do something and achieve it but we forget there is emphasis on having the right mind that is missing. The temperament to wait but not give up and to resist believing lies that all hope is loss. This disposition alone takes a certain level of maturity that you just know that you know. As we discussed last week together.
So I am going to leave you with this step check. Find ways to embrace everything on schedule, including the highs and lows. Challenge yourself to shift your perspective and stay in the truth even in the revealing of who you were to who you are standing now. Embrace all the ugly with a smile because it was all apart of the schedule.
One that will be clear from start to finish.
Forever in Faith. Forever in Motion.
