We made it we have reached the last month of 2023!
*cue round of applause*
Now before we go into reflecting on the good and bad of the year and start making our new years resolution, I want us to take a pause.
Take a moment to sit back and think about the movement of this year.
I know you may be reading this and you are thinking to yourself what is she talking about.
Well that was my same response I had when God gave me the title of this blog post for the first Wednesday in December.
I had my own plans and schedule concerning when I would release this but God had other ideas that truthfully are far better than what I was thought.
He had me take a pause to reflect on steps, fitting and movement.
There were a lot of things I started this year that were initiated by a step.
After that I had to pile on top of it a level of discipline in the execution of it. In no way was this easy as making an almond butter jelly sandwich…
However, I was determined to keep stepping even on my worst days when I wanted to just throw in the towel all together.
But, it was in those steps I saw a press that was leading me to my fitting.
When you go to the store after you’ve cruised around some of the same aisles over and over again you hopefully are now ready to try on what you’ve picked out.
In the dressing room is where the fitting starts to happen.
You try on each apparel and you look at yourself in the mirror trying to get a 360 view so you can give a confident yes or no to these items potential addition to your cart.
Similar to this, I was beginning to see from one step the continuation thereafter required a level of consistency and diligence. This was all apart of the fitting. I tried out some ideas, and some of them failed. But whether they were good, bad, progressive or not it was all apart of my personal fitting.
I realize it is this process that takes the most attention, determination, and patience. After all three of these components began to circulate and find its flow thats when my eyes started to see the movement. But my first sight of it to date wasn’t based on who had looked at my latest blog post….it actually had everything to do with what was moving inside of me.
I had this extra dose of confidence and resilience. I was beginning to become even more bold in my decisions and new perspective in and for the revamp. It was completely out of what I knew but it was necessary for me.
Thats the coolest thing I have found to be about God amongst other things. He is always right on time when he knows you need a reset for a second wind.
God did just that for me and I don’t believe I would had the same outlook or perspective I have now in the month of December without it. How you end something can have a huge impact on how you start again. God showed me it was through my steps, fitting and movement a lot of things became to be. This is an important part of who I am that I have to keep with me no matter what.
In everything if you are looking close enough you will be able to see it too for yourself.
So I leave you with this challenge, take a moment to pause. Observe what you see, take it in without haste or fear but rather faith. Allow that to be your lens and begin to acknowledge every step you have taken, the fitting process you had to endure for your measurements and then begin to stand in the movement.
Until Next Time,
Forever in Faith. Forever in Motion.
